چکیده

A pronounced xy-anisotropy was observed in recent neutron scattering experiments for magnetic excitations in untwinned YBa2Cu3O6+y (YBCO). The small anisotropy of the bare band structure due to the orthorhombic crystal symmetry seems to be enhanced by correlation effects. A natural possibility is that the system is close to a Pomeranchuk instability associated with a d-wave Fermi surface deformation (dFSD).We investigate this possibility in the bilayer t-J model within a self-consistent slave-boson mean-field theory. We show that the dFSD correlations drive a pronounced xy-anisotropy of magnetic excitations at low doping and at relatively high temperatures, providing a scenario for the observed xy-anisotropy in optimally doped as well as underdoped YBCO, including the pseudogap phase.

Fermi-liquid-based theory for the in-plane magnetic anisotropy in untwinned high-Tc superconductors.

Using a generalized RPA-type theory we calculate the in-plane anisotropy of the magnetic excitations in hole-doped high-Tc superconductors. Extending our earlier Fermi-liquid-based studies on the resonance peak by inclusion of orthorhombicity we still find two-dimensional spin excitations, however, being strongly anisotropic. This reflects the underlying anisotropy of the hopping matrix element...

Wave Propagation in Rectangular Nanoplates Based on a New Strain Gradient Elasticity Theory with Considering in-Plane Magnetic Field

In this paper, on the basis of a new strain gradient elasticity theory, wave propagation in rectangular nanoplates by considering in-plane magnetic field is studied. This strain gradient theory has two gradient parameters and has the ability to compare with the nonlocal elasticity theory. From the best knowledge of author, it is the first time that this theory is used for investigating wave pro...

Magnetotransport study of the charged stripes in high-Tc cuprates

We present a study of the in-plane and out-of-plane magnetoresistance (MR) in heavily-underdoped, antiferromagnetic YBa2Cu3O6+x, which reveals a variety of striking features. The in-plane MR demonstrates a “d-wave”-like anisotropy upon rotating the magnetic field H within the ab plane. With decreasing temperature below 20-25 K, the system acquires memory: exposing a crystal to the magnetic fiel...

2D-Magnetic Field and Biaxiall In-Plane Pre-Load Effects on the Vibration of Double Bonded Orthotropic Graphene Sheets

In this study, thermo-nonlocal vibration of double bonded graphene sheet (DBGS) subjected to 2D-magnetic field under biaxial in-plane pre-load are presented. The elastic forces between layers of graphene sheet (GS) are taken into account by Pasternak foundation and the classical plate theory (CLPT) and continuum orthotropic elastic plate are used. The nonlocal theory of Eringen and Maxwell’s re...

Effect of Magnetic Field and a Mode-I Crack 3D-Problem in Micropolar Thermoelastic Cubic Medium Possessing Under Three Theories

A model of the equations of two dimensional problems in a half space, whose surface in free of micropolar thermoelastic medium possesses cubic symmetry as a result of a Mode-I Crack is studied. There acts an initial magnetic field parallel to the plane boundary of the half- space. The crack is subjected to prescribed temperature and stress distribution. The formulation in the context of the Lor...
